With 40 years in the shed-building business under our tool belt, we’ve seen (and built) some pretty incredible structures. We’ve grown from a small operation in a garage to a nationwide company, taking pride in every single building we’ve installed. Let’s take a look back at how our building styles, ads, and company have evolved over the decades.
Our Shed Styles
A barn-style shed was our very first offering—and it even inspired our iconic logo. Over the years, we’ve expanded and refined our designs, introducing higher sidewall options, more window choices, and endless customizations to help customers create the perfect building.
Take a look at the transformation: The photo below on the right shows one of our earliest barn models, while the left features a much more modern barn design from one of our talented partners, @KindredVintage.
Today, we offer a wide variety of shed and garage styles, from traditional barns to modern lean-tos and large, fully customized garages. Whatever your vision, there’s a Tuff Shed building for every backyard.
Our Strength
We’ve never strayed from our commitment to quality and strength. Every component—floors, doors, walls, and roofs—is designed to meet the highest standards. In fact, some of our earlier display setups really drove the message home, with stacked sheds and even a truck parked on top of a building to show just how tough a Tuff Shed® can be!
Our Future
In 2017, we celebrated a huge milestone by installing our one-millionth shed. In the years since, we’ve only continued to grow, proudly serving customers in all the contiguous 48 states.
To celebrate our incredible customers and their creativity, we launched the Show Off Your Shed spotlight, highlighting the unique and inspiring ways people use their Tuff Shed® buildings. We always say there are a million uses for a shed—and our customers prove it every day.
