One Cozy Cabin

Jul 02, 2019 |  Building of the Month

After a forest fire destroyed their first cabin, Raul and Debbie wanted a replacement that really stood out. They came to their local Home Depot representative to put together a specially designed shed that could be turned into a cozy cabin getaway.

Nestled in the Happy Jack, AZ region, the 12×16 TR-800 fits into the landscape. Raul and Debbie added plenty of upgrades to their new cabin to make the most of their land. They chose to heighten the roof with an 8/12 roof pitch to allow for a sleeping loft and dormers for extra natural light. They also finished out the interior of the building with plenty of rustic touches, including an antler chandelier and wood paneling, completed by their neighbor.

Raul and Debbie use the cabin for weekend getaways, watching and photographing wildlife, and of course, relaxing. Their little cabin is a great example of making the most out of a small space.
