TUFF SHED President and CEO Tom Saurey founded the company in Rexburg, Idaho in 1981. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado since 1986, TUFF SHED had become a reputable and recognized name in the West before expanding eastward and across the United States. Saurey won the Rocky Mountain Entrepreneur of the Year® Award in 2004, based on TUFF SHED's quality of product, innovative marketing and customer satisfaction. TUFF SHED was also named ColoradoBiz Magazine's Manufacturing Company of the Year in 2004 for the company's sustained growth, quality reputation and strong business model. In 2007, TUFF SHED was honored as one of the 5000 Fastest Growing Companies by Inc. 5000. The Home Depot Partnership

TUFF SHED has partnered with The Home Depot to offer shed installation of its Sundance Series and Keystone Series of products available exclusively through Home Depot stores in select markets throughout the United States. Customers benefit from the convenience of Home Depot combined with the high quality of TUFF SHED.

Currently, TUFF SHED storage buildings and garages are available in more than 1,200 Home Depot Stores across 34 states, with all of our high-quality, American-made products pre-fabricated and delivered out of a network of 45 TUFF SHED owned and operated factory locations. Final installation of TUFF SHED products takes place at the customer's site by a team of trained and background-checked builders.

Home Depot named TUFF SHED its 2008 Service Provider of the Year for outstanding commitment to sales and quality in 2007. This was the first and only time that an installed building company has ever won this prestigious award.
